We normally rehearse on Mondays from 7:15 to 9.15pm in Montagu Square, London W1 Contact Us

We welcome singers, and there is no audition to join the Ripieno. Abilities range from those with professional experience to people who’ve only sung in the shower.

Singing is a happy experience, and a creative one. You won’t even be asked to sightread music, though of course it’s easier if you do. If you have a reasonable ear for music, if you like singing, come along to a Ripieno rehearsal and try. There is a probationary period, but if the Music Director is satisfied after two or three weeks, you’re in.

Rehearsals are now on Monday evenings, 7.15 - 9.15pm. The venue is in Marylebone. The nearest tube stations are Baker Street and Marble Arch.

The London Ripieno Singers are a friendly group of interesting people with all kinds of jobs, all kinds of interests, all kinds of backgrounds. Monday evenings are social events as well as practices.

The membership subscription is £50 per term (three terms in the year). If you’re a taxpayer, you can help us by saying so and allowing us to claim a rebate, very useful for the Society funds.

Our repertoire is varied, from early music to contemporary works, including opera. The Society aims to give two or three public concerts a year both in Central London and other localities.

If you think you’d like to have a go, get in touch with the secretary by email at juliastrauss@compuserve.com.

The London Ripieno Society is affiliated with Making Music (the National Federation of Music Societies) and is a registered charity (no.274377).
